Head for Valencia’s fishermen’s quarter – before the bulldozers get there

El Cabanyal is a beautiful if run-down old fishermen’s quarter in Valencia, full of town houses with facades decorated with art nouveau tiling in bright blues and greens. It’s very atmospheric, and quite special… and it’s in danger of being pulled down by the Conservative ruled Valencia Town Hall.
